Barack Obama Earns the Support of Planned Parenthood Advocates of New York

Planned Parenthood Advocates of New York (PPANY) today announced that its members have ratified the national Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s recommendation to endorse Senator Barack Obama for president of the United States.

"New Yorkers are excited to endorse Senator Obama," said Joan Malin, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of New York City, who serves as the chair of the board of PPANY. "He is the candidate we can count on to stand up for women's health."

Senator Obama has taken strong stands on reproductive health issues throughout his career. He is committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and supports prevention programs that help prevent unintended pregnancy and reduce the need for abortion.
